Every passenger must have their own seat with seat belts and no one can be held on another person’s lap.

The electric cars have a top speed of 26 mph. This is perfect for getting around the narrow streets of Key West’s Historic Old Town, where the speed limit is 20mph.

The top speed on any street on the island is 30mph, but traffic often limits drivers’ speeds. Remember that battery life in any electric vehicle is related to the average speed the driver maintains, vehicle load, and other factors. When higher constant speeds are maintained, the battery discharges faster.
